Former New England Patriots wide receiver Josh Gordon has revealed that quarterback Tom Brady required his receivers to live with him during the offseason to participate in extensive drills. Gordon shared that the intensive training regimen included players like Julian Edelman and Rob Gronkowski moving into Brady's residence for focused practice sessions.
According to Gordon, the offseason workouts involved repetitive catching drills, with Brady's trainer, Alex Guerrero, monitoring the precision of each pass. Gordon described the routine as obsessive, highlighting the dedication required for Brady's rigorous preparation standards. "He made us live with him in the offseason," Gordon stated, adding details about his wife preparing meals for the players.
Gordon, known for his exceptional talent but also for a career derailed by suspensions under the NFL's substance abuse policy, was traded to the Patriots in 2018. During his time with New England, he played in 11 games, catching 40 passes for 737 yards and three touchdowns. He was part of the team that won Super Bowl LIII, though he was suspended prior to the game. His tenure with the Patriots offered a glimpse of what could have been if his natural abilities had consistently aligned with Brady's demanding approach to the sport.
