Tom Brady 'Embarrassed' by Swear Jar-Filling NFL Commentary

Tom Brady acknowledged he is "kind of embarrassed" by his colorful commentary during an NFL broadcast, which has led to a rapidly filling swear jar in his home. Speaking on his NFL on Fox "#AskTom" segment, Brady stated his intention to "fix my mouth on Fox."

During the Dallas Cowboys' 37-20 victory over the Washington Commanders on Sunday, Brady made several remarks that drew attention. He exclaimed "Oh s–t" upon seeing a replay of Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels suffering an elbow injury before halftime. Later in the game, he described a touchdown pass from Dak Prescott to CeeDee Lamb as an "absolute piss missile."

Brady addressed the latter comment directly, requesting that broadcasters "beep out those ‘piss missiles’" to avoid further contributions to his household swear jar. "My kids are getting way too happy with me filling up that jar," he explained, adding, "There’s a lot of grandmas at home that probably aren’t very happy with my mouth on Fox."

Daniels' injury occurred in the second half of the game. Commanders General Manager Adam Peters stated on Friday that the team does not intend to place Daniels on injured reserve and does not believe he requires surgery. Daniels had a similar injury last season.

Brady and his broadcast partner Kevin Burkhardt are scheduled to call the Bills-Chargers game this Sunday at 1 p.m. ET in Buffalo.
