Tom Brady, widely considered one of the greatest quarterbacks in American football history, drew a parallel between Argentina's dramatic World Cup comeback and his own iconic Super Bowl LI victory. Argentina secured a 3-2 win over Egypt in a Round of 16 match on Tuesday, rallying from a two-goal deficit in the final 21 minutes.

Brady, who led the New England Patriots to a historic 28-3 comeback win against the Atlanta Falcons in Super Bowl LI in 2017, commented on the match via X, formerly Twitter. "Yeah so that might top 28-3," he wrote, adding a blown mind emoji. In that Super Bowl, Brady passed for 466 yards and two touchdowns, earning his fourth Super Bowl MVP award.

Argentina's comeback was spearheaded by Lionel Messi, who scored in his sixth consecutive World Cup knockout match. The team's goals came in the 79th minute by Cristian Romero, a tie-breaker four minutes later by Messi, and the winning goal from Enzo Fernandez, his first of the tournament.

Egypt had taken the lead in the 15th minute and extended it in the 67th. Despite strong play from goalkeeper Mostafa Shoubir, including a saved penalty from Messi, Argentina's offense ultimately prevailed. The FIFA World Cup is being broadcast on FOX and FOX Sports 1.
