Tom Brady appeared to slap Logan Paul on Friday during an event at Fanatics Fest held at the Javits Center in New York City. NBA star Karl-Anthony Towns was present during the exchange, which was captured in front of a live audience.
Following the incident, Brady posted on social media, referring to Paul as a “dork.” Fanatics also shared a video of the interaction, labeling it as part of a “never-ending beef” between the two. Paul, responding to the video, stated that the confrontation occurred because he was mocking Brady for losing to him in flag football. He also claimed Brady attempted to hit him despite nursing a torn tricep.
Brady, a seven-time Super Bowl champion, replied on another post, “I tried America… will try again next time I see this nerd.”
This marks the latest in a series of public interactions between Brady and Paul. The two were previously involved in a flag football game earlier this year, where Brady threw a football at Paul after a play concluded. Paul, a celebrity boxer and WWE star, appeared to take issue with the action and confronted Brady. During that game, Brady was seen with a wide grin while moving away from a charging Paul.
In March, another interaction occurred at a Fanatics Flag Football event. At that time, Brady reportedly trolled Paul about his high school football career, saying, “Logan pulled out of a lot of fights this week. You scored 19 TDs in high school. No one cares.” This comment seemed to reference Paul’s alleged withdrawals from fights against Myles Garrett and Le’Veon Bell.
The ongoing public exchanges have fueled speculation about a potential appearance by Brady in a WWE event, especially given the timing around SummerSlam. Brady himself has expressed interest in participating in WWE, stating in a recent interview that he is awaiting a storyline from WWE president Nick Khan. Brady indicated that his retirement from football provides an opportunity to showcase his athletic abilities in a different capacity.
