Tom Brady Admits On-Air Technical Glitch Was His Fault
The Fox NFL analyst takes responsibility for a broadcasting disruption during the Eagles-Rams game.
Tom Brady acknowledged a mistake that caused technical issues in the Fox Sports broadcast booth during the Week 4 NFL game between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Los Angeles Rams. The disruption occurred in the first half of the game, and Brady later admitted on air that he was responsible.
During the broadcast, his partner Kevin Burkhardt asked if Brady was ready to admit to the microphone issue. Brady responded, "Okay, my fault." He explained that he had a large, fold-up card filled with notes about the teams, which he inadvertently dropped onto the "talk back button." This action led to him being unable to hear the producers, causing the technical problem.
"That's like a quarterback owning up to his mistakes, that's what it is," Brady remarked, drawing a parallel to his playing days.
This broadcast appearance followed the release of an explosive tell-all book about Brady's life. The book, titled "Brady: An American Story and the Price of Greatness," written by Lars Anderson, delves into the former quarterback's personal life, including his relationship and divorce from Gisele Bündchen. The Daily Mail had previously published extracts from the book detailing the marriage and its dissolution, as well as other private aspects of Brady's life dating back to his college career.
Anderson, a Sports Illustrated writer, stated his goal was to provide readers with a comprehensive, 360-degree view of Brady's life, exploring what makes him tick and why he elicits such strong reactions from the public. The book examines his failed relationships, the cost of his genius, and his relentless pursuit of perfection, aiming to place readers alongside Brady at pivotal moments in his life and reveal previously unseen sides of the NFL legend.
