Today Show Hosts Transform for Annual Halloween Costume Reveal

The hosts of NBC's Today show unveiled their annual Halloween costumes on Friday morning, transforming into a variety of recognizable figures and characters.

Savannah Guthrie and Jenna Bush Hager embraced the spirit of the 90s sitcom "Friends," with Guthrie portraying Rachel Green and Bush Hager embodying Phoebe Buffay. Guthrie, dressed in a denim button-down and patchwork apron, noted her aspiration to be like the show's characters when she was younger, appreciating their New York City independence. Bush Hager expressed her long-standing affection for the series.

Craig Melvin garnered significant attention for his portrayal of rapper Snoop Dogg, complete with a red, white, and blue ensemble, large sunglasses, and fake facial hair. Snoop Dogg's connection to NBC, including his coverage of the Olympics and co-hosting cooking shows with Martha Stewart, was highlighted. Martha Stewart herself made a surprise appearance on the show alongside Melvin. Melvin stated his admiration for Snoop Dogg, calling him "a part of the fabric of America."

Carson Daly took on the persona of country singer Ella Langley, donning a brown wig and recreating one of Langley's signature looks with bright red pants and a star-adorned white blouse. Daly performed a portion of Langley's hit song "Choosin' Texas" live on air, explaining his choice by referencing the song's significant chart success and Langley's status as a breakout star.

Other notable costumes included Dylan Dreyer as Jeannie from "I Dream of Jeannie," sporting a pink and red crop top and matching pants. Al Roker transformed into the green humanoid Gumby, wearing a full bodysuit. Sheinelle Jones appeared as a Radio City Rockette in a sparkly green dress. Willie Geist dressed as late-night icon Johnny Carson, while Laura Jarrett chose to emulate Olympic gymnast Simone Biles in a red, white, and blue leotard.
