Sarah Abo, a host on The Today Show, has provided an update on her pregnancy journey, sharing candid photos as she prepares to welcome her first child. The update comes as Abo is under medical supervision and on doctor-ordered bed rest due to pregnancy complications.

Abo, 40, took to Instagram to post a gallery of images that included a selfie cradling her baby bump, intimate moments with her husband Cyrus Moran, and behind-the-scenes glimpses from The Today Show studio before her early departure. She captioned the post, 'Some snaps of life with bump over the months.'

She revealed last week that she had been experiencing high blood pressure, leading to hospital visits and a recommendation for bed rest. "Copped a bit of a curveball last week with high blood pressure and have been in and out of hospital since," she shared with her followers. "Thankfully I'm in the safe hands of magnificent doctors, nurses and midwives taking incredibly good care of bub and me. We are both well."

This health development meant Abo could not return to The Today Show to say goodbye to her colleagues and viewers before going on maternity leave. Co-host Jayne Azzopardi expressed her disappointment, stating, "She hasn't had the easiest pregnancy, I wish it had been different for her because she deserves that." Azzopardi added, "Hopefully having a bit of a rough pregnancy means she's going to have a dream baby... I can't wait to meet him, she's going to be the best mum."

The touching update comes just days after Sarah revealed she had been forced onto maternity leave earlier than expected after suffering pregnancy complications

Friends, colleagues, and fans have sent messages of support. Fellow pregnant presenter Danika Mason joked about the "flattering angle" for the two expecting mothers on the show. Renee Bargh called Abo a "beautiful mama," and Nadia Bartel commented, "So beautiful!!"

Abo had announced her pregnancy in March during an emotional segment on The Today Show, sharing that she and Moran had experienced two miscarriages before conceiving their son. "I know it's obviously very happy news, but it hasn't been the easiest journey to get here," she said at the time, acknowledging that many viewers might relate to the difficulties of pregnancy. She approached the pregnancy with "cautious optimism" and hoped that by sharing her fertility struggles, she could offer comfort to others facing similar experiences.
