Today Show Co-Host Tom Steinfort Announces Wife's Third Pregnancy

Tom Steinfort, a co-host on Australia's Today show, announced Monday that his wife, Claudia Jukic, is pregnant with their third child. Steinfort, 42, shared the news during a segment discussing Australia's declining birth rate, humorously stating he was doing his part to contribute.

"I'm doing my bit around here! I'm excited to share that my beautiful wife Claudia is expecting," Steinfort said on air. "We are having baby number three! Our two little gorgeous girls are going to have a little brother or sister, so let's see!"

The couple are already parents to two daughters, Lotte and Frederikke. Steinfort mentioned that he and Jukic have opted not to learn the baby's sex in advance, preferring to keep it a surprise. He also noted that Jukic has been managing the pregnancy well, despite a "bumpy start."

Tom Steinfort and Claudia Jukic married in Croatia in August 2019. The announcement comes as Steinfort and his new Today co-host, Sylvia Jeffreys, have garnered attention for their professional reunion, which follows a past romantic relationship between them over a decade ago. Both presenters have since married other partners and started families.

Nine officially confirmed Jeffreys and Steinfort as the new permanent hosting team last week, following changes to the program's lineup. This appointment follows the decision not to renew the contract of former co-host Sarah Abo, who was on maternity leave.
