Titans Release Jordan Elliott Following Facility Incident

The Tennessee Titans have released defensive tackle Jordan Elliott after an undisclosed incident at the team facility, the club announced Tuesday. The move comes days after the Titans secured their first victory of the NFL season, a 26-20 win over the Indianapolis Colts in Week 6.

Elliott's release follows an incident that took place on Thursday, Oct. 15, at the Titans' facility. The team stated in a release that after their review, the decision was made to part ways with the defensive lineman. Specific details surrounding the incident have not been made public.

Elliott had appeared in five games this season for the Titans, recording 11 total tackles. He previously played under current Titans head coach Robert Saleh when Saleh was the defensive coordinator for the San Francisco 49ers.

In a separate roster move, defensive back Alontae Taylor was not active for the team's recent game due to what head coach Mike Vrabel described as a coach's decision, with no further details provided.

The Titans are scheduled to host the Cleveland Browns next. The team has been navigating a challenging start to the season, with CEO Steve Underwood having previously apologized to the fanbase for the team's performance.
