Tim McGraw Celebrates 30 Years of Marriage to Faith Hill
Country superstar marks the milestone with heartfelt social media post and throwback photos.
Tim McGraw marked his 30th wedding anniversary with wife Faith Hill by sharing a collection of rare throwback photos and a deeply personal message on Instagram. The 59-year-old country singer expressed his profound love and appreciation for Hill, calling her the "center of gravity" in his life and their family.
"30 years, today 30 years of our marriage," McGraw began his caption, recalling their wedding day on October 6, 1996, in his aunt's backyard in Rayville, Louisiana. He described standing before "the most beautiful soul" and expressed bewilderment at her capacity for "love, forgive, nurture and be full of joy and laughter."

McGraw emphasized Hill's importance to him and their three daughters: Gracie, 29, Maggie, 28, and Audrey, 24. "And I (and my girls) know who is ours, completely," he wrote. "It's difficult to describe what she means, she is the center of gravity to my life and our girls lives and anyone who knows Audrey Faith McGraw."
He concluded his tribute by calling Hill his "best friend. My lover. My wife. My shelter in any and every storm," adding, "Many more sunrises and sunsets. Many more beautiful memories to come. I am a fortunate man."
The accompanying montage featured photos and short reels spanning their three decades together, including images of them kissing, performing on stage, and intimate moments. The slideshow opened with a black and white clip of McGraw carrying a smiling Hill over his shoulder.

McGraw and Hill first met in 1994 at a Country Radio Seminar Showcase, though both were in separate relationships at the time. They reconnected two years later when Hill opened for McGraw on his Spontaneous Combustion tour. They began dating in 1996, became engaged in June, and married later that year.
In past interviews, McGraw has credited Hill with helping him overcome struggles with alcohol. He revealed on The Tim Ferriss Show that he began his sobriety journey in 2008, influenced by his wife. "She is just magic. She just lights up a room and she lit me up and still does," he stated. He also admitted on Zane Lowe's Apple Music podcast in 2023 that without his marriage to Hill at 29, his career might have ended or he might not have survived.

When asked about the secret to their lasting marriage, McGraw told Entertainment Tonight in 2023 that they made a commitment early on not to abandon their relationship when problems arose.
Earlier in October, McGraw also posted a birthday tribute to Hill, calling her "the most beautiful girl in the world" and expressing his love and anticipation for more years together.
