After failing to exchange contact information, Griffith's friend, Valarie Porter, posted a photo of the pair on TikTok, asking for help to find him. The post included text overlay describing the situation and a plea for the Gold Coast community to identify the man, set to the song 'Where is my husband' by Raye.
Within an hour of the TikTok post going live, the man was identified as Arama Hau, a 22-year-old player for the Gold Coast Titans. Comments on the post quickly pointed to Hau, with some users posting photos of him on the field and noting his playing for the local team.
However, the situation quickly evolved as other users claimed Hau was in a relationship, leading to commentary on Griffith's perceived naivete. Griffith later responded in the comments, clarifying that she had only asked for a picture with the stranger and had not obtained his contact details.
