TikTok influencer Sara Gilson, also known as Sara Duffey, was found dead alongside her estranged husband, Jeremiah Shawn Duffey, in Owasso, Oklahoma. Police are investigating the incident as a murder-suicide.

Authorities responded to a domestic violence call where a child inside the residence reported that their stepfather had shot their mother. Gilson had recently posted on TikTok alleging her estranged husband was a pedophile.

Lyle Landers, Gilson's ex-husband, told People that he had repeatedly urged her to leave Jeremiah Duffey, stating he had been begging her for five years to get away from him. Landers described his ex-wife as a devoted mother whose efforts to protect children may have led to her death.

According to police reports, accusations of inappropriate conduct against Jeremiah Duffey, a basketball coach, surfaced on June 9. A parent and child reported him for allegedly touching a female child during a school event. Similar accusations had been previously reported, with cases sent to the U.S. Attorney’s Office.

Following the alleged incident, Sara Duffey filed an emergency protective order that barred Jeremiah Duffey from their home. On the same day, another woman filed a separate protective order against Jeremiah Duffey, accusing him of misconduct with her 15-year-old daughter, who was a player on the youth basketball team he coached. This woman also alleged that Duffey had paid her money to remain silent.
