TikTok Couple Arrested for Arson in West Virginia

A Charleston, West Virginia, couple with a significant social media following has been arrested and charged with arson and conspiracy. Dakota Harper, 21, and Felicity Eatmon, 22, each face charges of first-degree arson and conspiring to commit an offense, which carries a potential life sentence, according to Kanawha County Magistrate Court.

The pair, known for posting videos on TikTok where they have amassed 28,000 followers, are accused of setting fire to an abandoned home on the West Side of Charleston on Sunday night. The blaze reportedly caused significant damage to the adjacent Canaan United Methodist Church, with estimated damages exceeding $10,000.

Surveillance footage allegedly captured Eatmon giving Harper a lit piece of paper, which was then placed inside the abandoned structure. Investigators stated that the home had no active utilities and was unoccupied. The fire continued to smolder into Monday morning.

A video of Harper's arraignment has gained traction online due to his reported stature of 3-foot, 9-inch and 43 pounds. Court records indicate Eatmon is 5 feet, 1 inch tall.

Both Harper and Eatmon are currently being held on $10,000 bond each.
