Tiger Woods is scheduled to appear in court for a hearing where he will change his plea following his arrest on charges of driving under the influence. The incident occurred in Florida.

Woods was arrested on March 27, 2026, after his vehicle crashed and overturned. Police body camera footage released in April showed Woods stating that he "looked down at my phone, and all of a sudden, boom." He was able to exit the vehicle through the passenger door after the crash, which also involved a truck.

During the incident, Woods passed a breathalyser test but declined a urinalysis screening. He told officers he had not consumed alcohol that day but acknowledged taking "a few" prescription medications earlier that morning. Authorities later reported finding two white pills in his pocket, identified as hydrocodone, an opioid used to manage pain.

Officers at the scene indicated they suspected his "normal faculties" were impaired by an "unknown substance." This marked Woods' second arrest on suspicion of driving under the influence.

Following the crash, Woods posted on social media, stating, "I know and understand the seriousness of the situation I find myself in today. I am stepping away for a period of time to seek treatment and focus on my health. This is necessary in order for me to prioritize my wellbeing and work toward lasting recovery."
