Tiger Woods Returns to Driving Range Six Months After Car Crash

Tiger Woods has returned to the driving range, marking his first public appearance practicing golf since a severe car crash six months ago. Woods, who stated he "can hit pretty much anything," was seen working on his swing for the first time since the accident in February.

Woods has not competed professionally since March 2025, when he ruptured an Achilles tendon. He also underwent back surgery last October. Following the February car crash, which occurred after his second arrest on suspicion of driving under the influence, Woods announced he was "stepping away for a period of time to seek treatment and focus on my health."

The February incident was the latest in a series of legal and personal challenges for Woods. In 2009, a car crash outside his Florida home, which involved striking a fire hydrant, a tree, and hedges, preceded accusations of extramarital affairs and the end of his marriage and several lucrative sponsorship deals.

In 2017, Woods pleaded guilty to reckless driving and received a year of probation after being found slumped at the wheel of his car by police. In 2021, he survived another serious accident that resulted in extensive injuries, limiting his participation in professional golf events since then.

It remains unclear whether Woods is preparing for a competitive comeback.
