Tiger Woods Poised for Golf Return at TGL in Late December
The 15-time major champion's first competitive appearance since a DUI arrest and subsequent treatment is anticipated at the indoor golf league.
Tiger Woods is expected to make his return to competitive golf at the TGL indoor league, with the season set to begin in late December. Woods is slated to compete for the Jupiter Links Golf Club, a team he captains, in the second match on December 27, according to ESPN.
This anticipated participation follows reports that Woods intends to play the full TGL season. His appearance would mark his first professional golf event since his DUI arrest on March 27. Following the arrest, Woods entered a treatment program.
Woods, 50, had previously played only one match in the 2026 TGL season due to back surgery. He had considered returning for the Masters in April but was sidelined by his legal issues. He later pleaded no contest to reckless driving and refusal to submit to a lawful test, resulting in a five-year suspension of his driver's license.
His last PGA Tour event was at The Open in 2024 at Royal Troon, where he did not make the cut. In addition to TGL, Woods has potential opportunities to play in the Hero World Challenge from December 3-6, where three spots remain open in the 20-player field, or in the PNC Championship from December 17-20 alongside his son, Charlie.
