Three-Year-Old Rescued After Dangling From 12th-Story Window in China
Quick-thinking neighbors and a police officer intervened to save a young child trapped by safety bars.
A three-year-old girl was rescued after dangling precariously from a 12th-story window in Fujian, China, when her head became trapped between the building's safety bars. The incident occurred on Saturday and was captured on footage circulating on social media.
Two men from an apartment below were the first to react, extending a chair to support the child. A police officer arrived and assisted in keeping the chair steady until firefighters could reach the scene. The fire brigade subsequently cut through the metal bars to free the girl's head.
Authorities reported that the child's mother had left her alone in the apartment while she went out to purchase groceries. The toddler was taken to a local hospital for a precautionary examination and was found to be unharmed.
This incident follows a similar event just weeks prior in Shuozhou, China, where two men rescued a five-year-old boy who was left hanging outside a sixth-floor window, his head caught in a protective grille. The men were able to retrieve the child to safety within minutes.
