Three Wendy's employees in Union, South Carolina, have been arrested following an incident where they allegedly retrieved food from a trash can, spat on it, and then served it to a customer. The arrests of Aaliyah Shuntai Sanders, 23, Trinity Lashell Rice, 19, and Shadela Crystal Holley occurred between June 16 and June 22, and they face charges of tampering with a food item. The incident took place on May 31, when a customer ordered food from the drive-thru and later complained about the meal. When the customer requested a refund, the employees offered to remake the order, which was accepted. After leaving the establishment, the customer received a phone call from someone at the restaurant who informed her that her food had been handled improperly. Upon inspection, the customer discovered the "remade" order appeared to be the same food she had initially received. She then contacted the police. According to reports, the restaurant manager confirmed the allegations after speaking with the staff members involved and noted that all three employees received written warnings. Fox News Digital has reached out to Wendy's for comment.
