Three Men Stabbed Outside Liverpool Gay Bar; Police Seek Suspect

Merseyside Police are searching for a suspect after three men were stabbed outside G-Bar, a gay bar on Eberle Street in Liverpool city center. The incident occurred around 6:35 a.m. on September 20, 2026.

Officers responded to the scene and found three injured individuals. Two victims are in stable condition, while the third sustained minor injuries. All three were transported to local hospitals.

A cordon has been established on Tithebarn Street as investigations are ongoing, including CCTV, forensic, and witness inquiries. A resident reported hearing screaming around 5:30 a.m. near the Silkhouse Court tower block on Tithebarn Street.

Detective Chief Inspector Lisa McNaughton stated that an altercation appears to have taken place near G-Bar, resulting in the stabbings. The suspected weapon has been recovered and will undergo forensic examination. Police are urging anyone with information or who witnessed the incident to come forward urgently.

"The consequences of this incident could have been even worse so be assured that we will relentlessly pursue the offender," McNaughton said. "You will see an increased police presence carrying out enquiries so speak to us with any information or concerns."

G-Bar, established in 1996, is described as one of Liverpool's most iconic and enduring LGBT+ venues.
