The perpetrators were found guilty of killing Jake and Callum Robinson, along with their American friend Jack Carter Rhoad, at a popular surf spot.
Three men have been sentenced to 158 years and nine months in prison each for the murders of Australian brothers Jake and Callum Robinson and their American friend Jack Carter Rhoad. The trio was found guilty of the killings, which occurred in April 2024 at a beachside area in Baja California, Mexico.
Jake, 30, and Callum Robinson, 33, were on a surfing trip with Rhoad, 30, when they were attacked. Their bodies were discovered several days later in a clifftop shaft, having sustained gunshot wounds to the head.
During a court hearing on October 9, Jesus 'El Kekas' Giraldo, identified as the ringleader, and co-defendants Irineo Francisco and Angel Jesus, were convicted of the homicides. Their sentencing followed a week later. Debra and Martin Robinson, the parents of the deceased brothers, were present for the guilty verdicts and heard Ms. Robinson request maximum prison sentences in a victim impact statement.
