Thomas Markle's Granddaughter Not Surprised by Child Porn Allegations
Noelle Rasmussen describes her grandfather as 'off' and supports Meghan Markle's decision to keep children away from him.
Thomas Markle’s granddaughter, Noelle Rasmussen, stated that she is not surprised by the recent allegations of child pornography against her grandfather, adding that she always sensed something was “off” about him.
“Maybe it was a vibe that I subconsciously got … something’s not right about a person, and you don’t actively register it,” Rasmussen told The Telegraph in a new interview. “But your body tells you when something’s off.”
Reports surfaced that Markle, 82, is under investigation for child sex abuse images allegedly found in his home in the Philippines. Rasmussen, whose mother is Samantha Markle, Meghan Markle’s half-sister, described the claims as disturbing for everyone involved.
“Nobody likes to hear things like that,” she said, adding that she was pleased her uncle, Thomas Markle Jr., was “whistleblowing.” Rasmussen confirmed that she has never been abused by her grandfather.
Rasmussen voiced her full support for Duchess Meghan Markle's decision to keep her two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, away from their paternal grandfather. “I support her decision to prevent her kids from seeing him. I wouldn’t want my kids around somebody who was being accused of child molestation,” Rasmussen stated.
News of the investigation broke last week, with reports indicating that Thomas Markle Sr. allegedly possessed “hundreds, if not thousands” of child sex abuse images. Thomas Markle Jr. reportedly found the materials in several boxes and turned them over to local authorities.
Thomas Markle Sr. has denied the allegations, calling them “sick lies” and stating, “I could never do what I’m being accused of. It’s the worst thing anyone could accuse me of.” He expressed confusion and hurt over his son’s actions, calling the accusations “bulls–t.”
Meghan Markle has reportedly called the allegations against her estranged father “deeply distressing.” Following the surfacing of these claims, Meghan, her husband Prince Harry, and their two children reportedly left the United Kingdom.
Page Six has reached out to Meghan Markle for comment but did not immediately receive a response.
