Theo James Denies Meghan Markle's Involvement in 'The Gentlemen'
The star of the Netflix series sought a prompt during filming, while its creator addressed rumors of the Duchess of Sussex joining the cast.
Theo James, star of the Netflix drama "The Gentlemen," required a prompt from an assistant during filming last week at Compton Abbas Airfield in Dorset, England. The incident highlighted a shift in how actors prepare their lines, moving away from memorization from scripts to the use of tablets.
James, who portrays crime lord Eddie Horniman, was seen with co-stars Maya Jama and Amra Mallassi. Jama, 32, plays Aisha, and Mallassi, 31, plays Amir bin Abdullah al-Hadidi. The scene involved a de Havilland DH.90 Dragonfly plane and took place on location in Dorset.
Speculation on Meghan Markle's Casting
Recent speculation about Meghan Markle's potential involvement in "The Gentlemen" has been dispelled by the show's creator, Guy Ritchie. Rumors circulated following Markle's return to the UK in late August with Prince Harry. However, Ritchie confirmed that while a meeting did occur, Markle will not be part of the cast for the third season.
"The ambition of The Gentlemen has accelerated, the world has expanded, and the consequences carry weight," Ritchie stated regarding the upcoming season. "A third season felt inevitable, and I’m looking forward to pushing the boundaries."
