The View's Joy Behar and Whoopi Goldberg Spark Speculation with Cryptic Remarks on Sara Haines's Absence

Joy Behar and Whoopi Goldberg addressed Sara Haines's unexplained absence from "The View" on Wednesday's episode, making cryptic remarks that fueled speculation among viewers. Haines was not present at the talk table alongside Behar, Goldberg, Alyssa Farah Griffin, and Sunny Hostin.

"As you see, Sara is out today. She’ll be with us maybe tomorrow. We’ll see," Goldberg stated cryptically at the outset of the program. Behar then added, "She's not sick," before explaining their decision to mention Haines's absence.

"People get worried when someone disappears," Behar said. Goldberg responded, "Ok, but all we’ve got to tell them is that she’s not here. They’ll notice it, but we mention it because we don’t want them to think we don’t notice it. You know what I mean? So, that’s why we say what you already can see."

The co-hosts did not elaborate further on Haines's whereabouts for the remainder of the broadcast. The Daily Mail has reached out to "The View" for comment.

Haines's absence comes shortly after the program returned for its 30th season. Meanwhile, reports have surfaced that producers are considering inviting former White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt to join the panel. Leavitt, who left her role in early August to spend more time with her newborn daughter and young son, is reportedly considering the offer. Sources previously told the Daily Mail that "The View" intended to invite Leavitt as a guest as a potential test run, with producers seriously considering adding her as a permanent member of the daytime panel. While official talks have not yet commenced, ABC representatives have reportedly expressed interest in Leavitt joining the show. A source familiar with the program confirmed that an invitation to appear as a guest has been extended to Leavitt, though it remains unclear if she will accept for the current season.
