‘The Terminal List’ Season 2 Returns Chris Pratt as James Reece
The Prime Video series continues its globe-trotting action thriller with a new season adapting the second book in Jack Carr's series.
Chris Pratt reprises his role as former SEAL James Reece in the second season of Prime Video's "The Terminal List." The new season, which adapts Jack Carr's 2019 novel "True Believer," finds Reece as a fugitive 172 days at sea, grappling with hallucinations of his deceased SEAL teammate Ben Richards.
Season 2 picks up with Reece on the run after eliminating those he believed were responsible for the deaths of his team. While he seeks refuge in Mozambique with the family of his former ally Raife Hastings, journalist Katie Buranek continues to investigate the conspiracy Reece uncovered, asserting that his violent crusade was in pursuit of truth.
Concurrently, the CIA is investigating a bombing in London orchestrated by Amin Al-Nawaz, the leader of a new extremist group. Links have been found between Al-Nawaz and Mohammed "Mo" Farooq, a character previously featured in "The Terminal List: Dark Wolf." The CIA believes that locating Reece may be key to finding Farooq and subsequently Al-Nawaz.
The new season introduces Russian oligarch Vasili Adrenov, whose allegiances are explored as Buranek reports from within his inner circle. Tom Hopper returns as Raife Hastings, a fan-favorite character from Carr's books. Reece's journey also leads him to connect with Freddie Strain, a former operator now working with the CIA, and other characters from "Dark Wolf," including Jules Landry and Mossad agent Tal Varon.
"The Terminal List" Season 2 aims to expand its scope into a global action thriller, drawing comparisons to shows like "Special Ops: Lioness." The season's plot involves Reece making contact with Richard Hastings, Raife's father, at a hunting reserve in Mozambique. The series is available for streaming on Prime Video.
