‘The Rainmaker’ Season 2 Premieres October 16 on USA Network, Syfy, and E!
The legal drama, based on John Grisham's novel, returns for its second season with new cast members and streaming options.
The second season of John Grisham's legal drama, The Rainmaker, is set to premiere on Friday, October 16, at 10:00 p.m. ET. The new season will air across USA Network, Syfy, and E!.
The series, adapted from Grisham's novel of the same name, which also inspired a 1997 film, initially premiered in August 2025. Season 2 will introduce new cast members, including Richard Kind as Deck's estranged father, Merle Dandridge as a powerful attorney, and Austin Nichols as Bruiser's ex-husband.
The first season of The Rainmaker is currently available for streaming on Peacock and Prime Video. However, Season 2 will not be available for next-day streaming on Peacock. While it is expected to eventually be added to the platform, likely several months after the season finale, new episodes will be accessible through other means.
Fans can watch new episodes live without cable by subscribing to a live TV streaming service. Options include DIRECTV, Hulu + Live TV, YouTube TV, and Sling TV. DIRECTV offers subscription plans starting at $19.99 per month, with new subscribers to Hulu + Live TV and YouTube TV eligible for free trials.
Following their initial broadcast, new episodes of The Rainmaker will also be available for next-day streaming on demand and via the USA Network website.
The synopsis for the Season 2 premiere episode, titled “Dear Uncle Rudy,” reveals that Rudy will face increased attention as Deck becomes fixated on a letter from juvenile detention.
