The Osbournes: Sharon and Jack Reunite with Estranged Sister Aimee
The family members were seen together in Studio City, marking Aimee's first public appearance since Kelly revealed a permanent rift.
Sharon and Jack Osbourne were recently seen with their rarely seen sister, Aimee, in Studio City. This marks Aimee's first sighting since her sister Kelly stated that she has permanently cut ties with her.
Kelly Osbourne discussed her estrangement from Aimee on the "We Need To Talk" podcast in September, stating that there is no hope for reconciliation due to their differing personalities. "I respect her, I accept her, but we're different, and that's ok," Kelly said. "If you're not going to accept me for who I am, and constantly be trying to change me and say horrible things about me, and truly seem to thrive when I'm not doing well, I don't want you in my life."
Kelly added that she has "a resentment there" because she felt she never had a big sister to guide her. She described Aimee as being "in her own world, doing her own thing" and that she felt Aimee was "embarrassed" of the rest of the family.
Aimee, the eldest child of Sharon and the late Ozzy Osbourne, chose not to participate in the family's reality television show, "The Osbournes," moving out of the family home at 16. While the show brought Kelly and Jack to fame, Aimee remained out of the public eye. In a previous interview with The Independent, Aimee explained her decision not to appear on the show, stating, "Back then, I still felt I was trying to figure out who I was in the chaos of family life, so why on earth would I want that portrayed on television?"
She further elaborated that she wanted to protect herself and her family, noting that her siblings were "very young, very impressionable" at the time. Kelly has expressed deep loyalty to her other family members, stating on the podcast, "I have never been ashamed of my family; we’re not conventional, but we are honest. I am like my father in the sense that I wear my heart on my sleeve, I can’t pretend. I am who I am. You can love me or hate me."
