The Offspring's Noodles Steps Away From Touring Due to Health Issue

Kevin “Noodles” Wasserman, guitarist for the band The Offspring, announced Wednesday that he must step away from live performances due to a “serious health issue.”

“It is with deep sadness that I have to announce that I need to step away from live performance for a while to deal with a sudden and fairly serious health issue,” Wasserman, 63, wrote in a statement posted on X.

He shared that his bandmates have been supportive of his decision. Wasserman also reassured fans that The Offspring would continue performing in his absence.

“I hope to be back on stage sooner rather than later,” Wasserman added. “Until then, I will miss all of you with all of my heart. Thanks for keeping me in your thoughts. I really appreciate it.”

Fans responded with well-wishes for his recovery. One fan wrote, “Take care of yourself, Noodles! We all love you, you got this.” Another added, “Wishing you a full and swift recovery Noodles.”

The Offspring began their “Supercharged” tour earlier this year, with their latest album also titled “Supercharged” released in 2024. The band formed in Orange County, California, in 1984, with Wasserman joining the following year. They have released 11 studio albums, including their self-titled debut in 1989 and “Ignition” in 1992. Fan-favorite songs include “Self Esteem” (1994) and “The Kids Aren’t Alright” (1998).
