The Offspring Guitarist Noodles Steps Away From Performing Due to Health Issue
The 63-year-old musician, whose real name is Kevin John Wasserman, announced on Instagram that he needs time to address a 'fairly serious health issue.'
Noodles, the lead guitarist for the iconic rock band The Offspring, has announced he is stepping away from live performances due to a "fairly serious health issue." The 63-year-old musician, born Kevin John Wasserman, shared the news on Instagram, stating he needs to take time to deal with the "sudden and fairly serious health issue."
"The rest of the band has my back, is super supportive, and will keep rocking you all in my absence. I hope to be back on stage sooner rather than later. Until then, I will miss all of you with all of my heart," Noodles wrote in his post. He thanked fans for their support and for keeping him in their thoughts.
The band, known for hits like "Pretty Fly (For A White Guy)," is based in Orange County, California. Noodles joined The Offspring in 1985, the year after its formation by lead singer Dexter Holland. The current lineup also includes bassist Todd Morse, multi-instrumentalist Jonah Nimoy, and drummer Brandon Pertzborn.
Noodles' last performance with the band was just days ago on Sunday in San Diego. The Offspring has several upcoming dates scheduled, including shows in Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Mexico City, and another in Los Angeles in January 2027.
