"The Drop" continues the narrative from "Snowfall," which explored the crack cocaine epidemic in 1980s Los Angeles. The sequel series transitions into the 1990s, focusing on the aftermath of the drug trade and the emergence of local rap artists.
Gail Bean and Isaiah John reprise their roles as Wanda Bell and Leon Simmons, respectively, characters they originated in "Snowfall." The series delves into the music industry's complexities as artists navigate the evolving landscape.
