The 42nd season of MTV's reality competition series, "The Challenge: Cutthroat," has premiered, with new episodes available on Paramount+ and airing on MTV. The season features 24 competitors battling for a $500,000 grand prize in Thailand.

This season's format divides contestants into three teams, emphasizing cooperation to reach the finish line. Notable cast members include five-time champion Chris "CT" Tamburello, Johnny Bananas, Love Island alum Josh Goldstein, two-time champion Cara Maria Sorbello, and Survivor stars Michele Fitzgerald, Cassidy Clark, and Chris Underwood. Nelson Thomas also makes a return to the franchise following a near-fatal car accident that led to a leg amputation.
