The Block Star Lisa Dunbar Welcomes Baby Jude in Dramatic Shower Birth

Reality television personality Lisa Dunbar, known for her role on The Block, has given birth to her second child, a son named Jude Ross. The dramatic birth occurred last week in a hospital shower after an unexpectedly rapid two-hour labor.

Dunbar, 34, who works as a paramedic, had checked into the hospital for an induction as her baby was a week overdue. She reported having no prior signs of labor. While waiting in the hospital, she decided to take a shower, only to experience contractions and realize the baby was arriving immediately.

"I was in shock and denial," Dunbar told New Idea. "I thought I still had time to get to the delivery suite – and get an epidural – but my midwife was like, 'There's no time! This baby is coming now!'"

With the assistance of two midwives, Jude was born in the shower. Dunbar's partner, Rosco Wilson, 38, who works in FIFO (fly-in, fly-out) mining, was 40 minutes away caring for their elder son, Lando, who is two years old. He arrived at the hospital to find Dunbar kneeling on the floor holding their newborn.

"I walked in, and Lisa was kneeling on the ground holding Jude to her chest. I couldn't believe it," Wilson stated.

The couple, who welcomed Jude in Perth, have already transported the newborn to Melbourne ahead of The Block auction scheduled for Sunday.

Dunbar and Wilson were aware of the pregnancy early in the filming of The Block season. Dunbar discovered she was seven weeks pregnant as cameras began rolling, initially mistaking her condition for a stomach bug. The news was first shared with The Block host Scott Cam before being revealed to others. Dunbar described the pregnancy as a "beautiful blessing" during their time on the show, noting the special experience of preparing to welcome a second child while Lando would also be part of the journey as he anticipated becoming a brother.
