The upcoming 2026 season of the reality renovation show The Block, set to premiere on August 2, will feature a special announcement from contestants Lisa and Rosco: the Perth-based couple is expecting their second child. The news was shared during a launch event at Crittenden Wines on Thursday.

Lisa, 34, and Rosco, 38, discovered they were pregnant within the first few weeks of filming in Mount Eliza. "We had a little inkling when we arrived in Melbourne, but actually found out from the doctor at week one and a half," Lisa told hosts Shelley Craft and Scott Cam. "We were seven weeks along. It was nothing like my first pregnancy. This one just kind of slipped on in there."

Lisa, a paramedic, joked that returning to the show not pregnant would be a "hugely different experience" with "a lot more prosecco on board." Rosco, a FIFO worker, playfully attempted to use his wife's pregnancy as an excuse to gain extra building time on the show, a remark that drew laughter from those present.

The couple also shared their positive experiences with long-time host Scott Cam, 63. "He is such a family man. He is a softy," Lisa said. Rosco added, "I think what you see is what you get. He's such a straight shooter. He's caring. He cares about the outcome, he cares about each and every one of you."

They highlighted the support received from Cam and Channel Nine regarding their family situation. "We were away from him for a long time and that was quite hard. The amount of support we got from them... they flew him over, they put him up. They flew his grandparents over. They were a family," Lisa explained. Rosco recounted instances where Cam would comfort Lisa with a hug during difficult days.

"He's the heart of The Block," Lisa stated.

The 22nd season of The Block will feature five couples competing: Lisa and Rosco from Perth, father and daughter team Rick and Tayla from Victoria, mates Courtney and Sev from Queensland, Gold Coast couple Chantel and Wyatt, and South Australian husband and wife Adam and Jolene. The season is set in Mount Eliza on Victoria's Mornington Peninsula. The Block 2026 premieres on Channel Nine and 9Now on August 2 at 7:00pm.
