A Texas middle school art teacher has been arrested on more serious charges after allegedly engaging in sexting and providing drugs to at least three students, including a 14-year-old boy whom she reportedly called “babe.”

Haley Radabaugh, 28, a former teacher at Barbara Bush Middle School, was initially arrested on grooming charges on May 15. She was re-arrested on Friday, July 9, facing upgraded charges for an improper relationship between an educator and student. The Texas Scorecard reported on the initial arrest, and NBC News cited an arrest affidavit in its reporting.

According to the arrest warrant, Radabaugh was accused of having inappropriate sexual conversations with at least three middle school students and providing them with drugs. Students reportedly flagged her alleged behavior to school staff.

In one instance, Radabaugh allegedly sent suggestive messages to a 14-year-old boy, telling him, “There was a kid I crushed on hard before you.” The teacher reportedly offered to exchange photos, saying, “You send me a photo of you, and I’ll send you one of me.” She is accused of sending the teen a photograph of herself “mid-chest up” appearing to be getting out of the shower. The messages allegedly included “flirtatious kiss emojis,” and she called the boy “babe.”

The 14-year-old described himself as being “disgusted and losing sleep” after receiving the messages, according to the police document.

Details regarding Radabaugh’s alleged behavior with the other two students have not been released. Police have not disclosed further details about the alleged victims due to their age. The victims are identified as juveniles.

If convicted of the improper relationship between an educator and student charge, Radabaugh faces up to 20 years in prison.

She is no longer employed by the Carrollton-Farmers Branch school district.
