Senator-elect James Talarico and Governor-elect Gina Hinojosa celebrated their projected midterm election victories in quintessentially Texan fashion early Wednesday morning with a trip to Whataburger.
Talarico shared a photo of the pair raising their Texas-sized cups in a celebratory toast at the fast-food chain, captioning the image, "First stop post-win: Whataburger."
Hinojosa also shared a video of the late-night celebration on X, writing, "We did it," and tagging Talarico.
Talarico was projected to defeat GOP rival Ken Paxton in the Senate race, while Hinojosa was projected to oust three-term GOP Gov. Greg Abbott. Democrats were also projected to win back both the House and the Senate in Texas.
