Texans Acquire Receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. in Trade with Cardinals

The Houston Texans have finalized a trade to acquire wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. from the Arizona Cardinals, according to ESPN. The deal sends a 2027 second-round and a 2027 sixth-round pick to Arizona in exchange for Harrison and a 2027 seventh-round pick.

The acquisition comes shortly after the Texans secured their first victory of the season on Sunday. Harrison, who was the fourth overall selection in the 2024 NFL Draft out of Ohio State, had reportedly expressed unhappiness with his limited role in the Cardinals' offense. He was listed as inactive for Sunday's game against the Detroit Lions even before the trade was finalized.

In his rookie season in 2024, Harrison recorded 62 receptions for 880 yards and eight touchdowns. Last year, he had 41 catches for 608 yards in 12 games. This season, through the Cardinals' first four games, the 24-year-old receiver had five receptions on 13 targets.

Houston began its season with an 0-4 record before defeating the Tennessee Titans 26-3 on Sunday in a matchup between two previously winless teams.
