Terry Bradshaw Questions Cowboys' Focus After Mid-Season Celebration

Hall of Famer Terry Bradshaw has voiced concerns regarding the Dallas Cowboys' priorities, pointing to their locker-room celebration after quarterback Dak Prescott broke the franchise's career passing touchdown record as evidence of misplaced focus.

Bradshaw, speaking on "Fox NFL Sunday," stated that while he is a fan of team owner Jerry Jones, he found the team's enthusiastic celebration of the record during Week 2's victory over the Commanders to be "strange." He recalled discussing his unease with co-hosts Michael Strahan and Howie Long, noting that the team seemed to be celebrating a regular-season accomplishment rather than championships.

"Look, you celebrate passing touchdowns when it’s all said and done, not during a season. So that leads me to believe that their focus isn’t where it should be," Bradshaw commented. He also touched on other team dynamics, mentioning the recent hiring of Christian Parker as defensive coordinator and the return of Mike Pettine to assist the defense, which has been playing well. Conversely, he observed that the offense has been struggling.

Prescott surpassed Tony Romo's previous record of 248 touchdown passes. He was a fourth-round pick in the 2016 NFL Draft. The Cowboys, currently 2-4 on the season, have lost their last two games, scoring only 29 combined points and throwing four interceptions in that span. The team entered their Monday night matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles tied for second place in the NFC East.

The Eagles will be without quarterback Jalen Hurts, who is sidelined for the season due to blood clots.
