Terrion Arnold, recently released by the Detroit Lions, is expected to sign with an NFL team within the next 30 days, according to his attorney, Harvey Steinberg. Steinberg informed a Florida court that three teams have already reached out to Arnold since his release on Monday.

The 23-year-old former Alabama prospect faces eight felony charges in Florida stemming from an incident in February. He was arrested on June 24 and charged with four counts of kidnapping and four counts of armed robbery. Prosecutors allege Arnold orchestrated the abduction and robbery of three men he believed had stolen money and luxury items from him. Each charge carries a potential life sentence if convicted, though Arnold maintains his innocence.

Representatives for Arnold stated that there is no evidence linking him to the allegations. Chief Judge Christopher C. Sabella denied the state's request to keep Arnold in jail, allowing him to continue his NFL career while his case proceeds. Arnold will not clear waivers until Thursday afternoon, after which he will be free to sign with any team.

Arnold was drafted 24th overall by the Lions in the 2024 NFL Draft. During his two seasons in Detroit, he recorded one interception and missed significant playing time due to a concussion and a shoulder injury, appearing in only 24 of a possible 34 games. While teams have until July 6 to claim him, he could also be placed on the commissioner's exempt list during the ongoing legal proceedings.
