The cast of 'The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip: Roaring 20th' experienced tension on a recent journey, as Teresa Giudice confronted Vicki Gunvalson about remarks that Giudice perceived as mean. The exchange occurred in a luxury van while the group was traveling in Beverly Hills.
Giudice directly addressed Gunvalson, stating, "Vicki, you were mean to me yesterday." She explained that Gunvalson's comments about her appearance, made while viewing the Housewives' first season portraits, felt insulting. Giudice elaborated in a confessional, noting that she sometimes needs time to process interactions and that Gunvalson's comment "was rude."
Gunvalson attempted to de-escalate the situation, telling Giudice, "You're beautiful," and that she had "aged gracefully." However, Giudice then raised another grievance: Gunvalson's earlier remark, "pay your taxes!" Giudice believed this was a reference to her past legal troubles, which led to a brief prison sentence.
Gunvalson denied this, claiming she was referring to someone else on her cast. However, fellow cast member Luann de Lesseps interjected, stating that Gunvalson had been looking at Giudice when she made the comment. Giudice expressed a desire to move past the issue, saying, "I don’t want to relive this. This happened 10 years ago." Gunvalson then interrupted Giudice to point out a clothing store. De Lesseps compared Gunvalson's behavior to that of former 'Real Housewives of New York' castmate Ramona Singer, calling it "rude."
Giudice concluded the conversation by stating her anxiety about being reminded of past events. "I don’t like to keep getting reminded of that. It's a cross that I have to carry," she said in her confessional. "It’s been 10 years. I want to take that cross off already." She ended her statement by directly addressing Gunvalson, saying, "So, thank you, Vicki. Thanks for being a bitch."
The episode, featuring Giudice and Gunvalson along with Kyle Richards, Luann de Lesseps, Porsha Williams, Gizelle Bryant, and Lisa Barlow, aired on Bravo.
