Teresa Giudice Claims Daughter Milania Had Fentanyl in System at Airport

Teresa Giudice, star of "The Real Housewives of New Jersey," claimed that her 20-year-old daughter, Milania Giudice, "had fentanyl in her system" during an encounter with officers at Tampa International Airport. The allegation was captured on bodycam footage obtained by Page Six.

During the airport incident, Milania Giudice reportedly responded to her mother's claim by stating, "Cause I was laced ... I go to college." Her sister, Gia, was also heard telling Milania, "You're reckless."

The footage shows Milania Giudice speaking to officers and stating, "this is what we do," before requesting to speak with her mother and identifying herself as a 20-year-old college student. An officer instructed her to sit down, reminding her that she was "not controlling the situation."

Milania could be heard shouting, "Hurry up mom! Why don’t you run! You wanted to cause a scene!" Giudice then appeared by her daughter's side as filming continued, with an officer noting that the situation would not allow them to board a plane.

It remains unclear why Milania Giudice was detained by authorities at the Florida airport or when the alleged fentanyl incident occurred. Milania Giudice pleaded not guilty in June to assault charges in New Jersey following an arrest the previous month.

Following the release of the bodycam footage, Giudice shared a statement on social media. She stated that her daughter has experienced "tremendous heartbreak and significant psychological trauma" after losing two close friends. Giudice emphasized that grief affects individuals differently and expressed that watching her child process such loss is difficult.

"Right now, my only focus is my daughter – making sure she is surrounded by love, family, support, and the care she needs," Giudice wrote. She acknowledged that her family's public life leads to speculation but stressed that Milania is her daughter first and deserves privacy to heal.

Giudice appealed for compassion and kindness from the public and media, requesting privacy for Milania during this "incredibly difficult and deeply personal time." She concluded by thanking those who offered love, prayers, and support.
