Paige Paul, wife of American tennis player Tommy Paul, publicly criticized a Nantucket shop for displaying a "no influencers" sign inside its establishment. Paul, a content creator and business owner on the island, shared her objections on social media.

In a post accompanied by an image of the sign at the Four Winds Craft Guild store, Paul questioned the message's intent, stating, "If you call yourself a feminist but proudly put up a 'No Influencers' sign, it's worth asking who you are attempting to delegitimize, and why." She suggested the sign "mocked" women in the "new industry" of content creation, which she argued is largely driven by women and has shifted billions of dollars in marketing revenue due to its trust and community-building aspects.

Paul, who recently opened her own clothing brand storefront, Dairy Boy, in Nantucket, also noted that "one woman with a loyal audience can successfully launch a business at a scale that would have once required corporate backing and massive advertising budgets." She concluded her comment by stating, "That's a win. This sign isn't."

Following Paul's comment, the original post was reportedly taken down. The Four Winds Craft Guild later shared on Instagram that their page had been reported, implying Paul might have been responsible. The shop then reposted the image of the sign.

Paul's comments and her presence in Nantucket have reportedly generated controversy. Online discussions, including on the Nantucket Reddit page, suggest she is not popular with some locals, with some users criticizing her stance on the sign and her business ventures on the island. Some commenters also speculated that Paul used artificial intelligence to draft her lengthy response to the shop's sign.
