A father in Kenton, Tennessee, discovered his two young daughters dead in their home on June 13, according to authorities and reports. Tim Harris, 38, reportedly found his one-year-old daughter, Landrie Harris, and his fiancée’s 11-year-old daughter, McKenna Young, deceased from apparent gunshot wounds.
Harris's fiancée, Jessica Quarles, 32, was also found inside the residence with apparent self-inflicted stab wounds. She was transported to a hospital in critical condition. Quarles has since been booked into Obion County Jail on two counts of first-degree premeditated murder, along with charges of aggravated child abuse, neglect, and endangerment.
Tim Harris and Jessica Quarles shared Landrie. McKenna, who had autism, epilepsy, and Fragile X syndrome, was not Harris's biological daughter, but he treated her as his own, a friend told WREG. The friend, Hailey Wilson, has initiated a GoFundMe campaign to support Harris as he grieves and takes time off work. As of Wednesday morning, over $6,000 had been raised for him.
Police have not released details regarding the motive behind the alleged killings. Wilson urged the public to avoid speculation until official facts are released, emphasizing the impact on the lives involved. Quarles is being held without bond and is scheduled for an arraignment hearing. The Kenton Police Department was contacted for comment.
