Teens Charged in Alleged Assault of Security Guard on Gold Coast
Two teenagers have been charged following an alleged assault on a 66-year-old security guard at a shopping center on Australia's Gold Coast.

Shocking footage has emerged showing the moment two teenagers allegedly assaulted a security guard at Westfield Coomera on the Gold Coast. The incident occurred on Tuesday at approximately 6:40 p.m., according to Queensland Police.
The 66-year-old security guard sustained a head injury during the alleged assault. "He was transported to Gold Coast University Hospital in a serious condition," a Queensland Police spokesperson stated. "We believe he sustained the head injury from falling on the ground, but also from the punches that he received."
Police have since charged a 15-year-old and a 16-year-old in connection with the incident. Both have been charged with one count each of serious assault of a person over 60.
