A 15-year-old boy has been rescued after surviving for several days in the frigid Bering Sea, clinging to an overturned 18-foot boat. The teenager, identified by his family as Derek Parker, was found alive Monday afternoon approximately four miles east of St. Lawrence Island, Alaska.

The US Coast Guard confirmed the rescue. Parker had been desperately trying to hold onto his older brother and another crew member before they drowned. The incident involved the capsizing of their small boat.
