Teenager Killed, Housing Authority Worker Injured in Harlem Shooting

A 15-year-old boy was fatally shot and a New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) worker was injured by a stray bullet on Wednesday evening outside the King Towers complex in Harlem, according to police and sources.

Jihad Pack, 15, was struck in the stomach around 6:20 p.m. on the grounds of the housing complex located on West 115th Street near Malcolm X Boulevard. He lived at the building where the shooting occurred. Pack was transported to Mount Sinai Morningside hospital, where he later died from his injuries.

A 57-year-old man, identified as a NYCHA worker by law enforcement sources, sustained a gunshot wound to his right hand during the incident. He was taken to Harlem Hospital and is in stable condition, police said.

Another 15-year-old male was taken into custody at the scene. It has not been immediately determined if this individual was the shooter, according to sources. The motive for the shooting remains under investigation.
