A 16-year-old girl was taken to the hospital with serious stab wounds following an incident on Roselands Avenue in Coventry on the evening of August 11, 2026. Emergency services responded to a call at approximately 10:10 p.m. where they found the teenager with a significant stab injury. A 42-year-old woman also sustained minor injuries at the scene.
A 45-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of two counts of wounding and remains in police custody. West Midlands Police have stated the incident was isolated but have increased patrols in the Henley Green area to reassure residents.
Both the teenage girl and the 42-year-old woman were transported to the hospital for treatment and have since been discharged.
