A 16-year-old British girl is in critical condition after being hit by a car while riding her bicycle in Warsaw, Poland, on Sunday. Zuzanna Bohojlo was reportedly on her way to buy ice cream when the collision occurred.

Doctors have placed Bohojlo in an induced coma following the accident. A family friend, Olivia Znajewska, shared on Facebook that Bohojlo's mother, Karolina, had requested that friends and family send messages to her daughter's phone, asking for prayers and positive thoughts for her recovery.

"We are all still in shock - it's an innocent holiday that's turned into a tragedy," Znajewska stated, relaying the mother's account of the incident. "Her mum says they went on a bike ride to get some ice cream when she was hit by a car."

Bohojlo's sister, Aleksandra, described the teenager as "loud, outgoing, bubbly, kind, full of life and always brings her own energy into a room." She also appealed for supportive messages to be sent to Zuzanna, emphasizing the family's hope and prayers for her recovery. "We will read your messages to her, and we want her surrounded by as much love, hope and positivity as possible," Aleksandra wrote. She added that her sister is known for her strength and ability to stand up for herself.

Zuzanna Bohojlo was visiting Poland to see her mother when the incident took place.
