A teenage boy has been convicted of murder after fatally stabbing a 46-year-old drug dealer during a robbery in Cheltenham. The 16-year-old, who cannot be identified due to his age, was found guilty by a jury at Bristol Crown Court.
The stabbing occurred in an alleyway on December 16, 2025, when the defendant, who was 15 at the time of the attack, allegedly took cash, drugs, and a mobile phone from the victim, Hamid Erfani. The teenager denied murder, claiming he acted in self-defense. He and a second teenager had previously admitted to robbing Erfani.
CCTV footage showing the defendant and the other boy arriving at the scene was presented to the court during the proceedings.
