The death of Marly Kinney, 19, who vanished during a boat party on Grayson Lake in Kentucky, has been ruled an accident, according to a grand jury decision announced by the Carter County Commonwealth Attorney. Kinney was pulled from the lake months after she was reported missing.
Investigators found no evidence of a struggle or traumatic injury at the time her body was recovered. Her personal items, including her swimsuit and jewelry, were found intact and undisturbed, prosecutors stated.
The medical examiner's findings were consistent with drowning. Her postmortem blood alcohol concentration was recorded at 0.268%, according to the attorney's office. The investigation concluded that her death was accidental.
