Teddi Mellencamp, 45, has publicly confirmed her relationship with boyfriend PJ Conley, 31, by making him Instagram official. The couple attended a John Mellencamp concert at the Hollywood Bowl in California, where Mellencamp introduced Conley to her family.
The outing also included Mellencamp's estranged husband, Edwin Arroyave, their children, and former "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" co-star Kyle Richards. Mellencamp described Conley as a "Valley Guy" and shared details about his integration with her family on her podcast, "Two Ts in a Podcast."
"He's a nice guy and he's funny," Mellencamp said of Conley. "He got along effortlessly with the fam - my brothers, my sisters, my dad." She recounted her father's initial, understated reaction to meeting Conley, followed by a more pointed acknowledgment later.
Conley, who is 14 years younger than Mellencamp, is reportedly pursuing a master's degree in business at USC Marshall. He is a former Mormon missionary. Mellencamp's father, John Mellencamp, later expressed his amusement at his daughter introducing Conley, teasing her about trying to make the introduction without him noticing.
Mellencamp and her estranged husband, Arroyave, are currently co-parenting their four children and share a marital home in Encino, having paused their divorce proceedings due to Mellencamp's health. She has been undergoing weekly immunotherapy treatments following a battle with stage IV cancer, and was in remission as of last October after surgeries and radiation to treat melanoma and tumors on her brain.
Arroyave, a CEO, shared his positive feelings about his children experiencing time with their grandfather, John Mellencamp. He reflected on his own lack of opportunities to connect with his grandfathers and emphasized the importance of building a rich life beyond finances, encompassing faith, family, fitness, and fun.
