Ted Lasso Season 4 Finale Arrives, Future of Series Uncertain
The acclaimed Apple TV+ comedy concludes its fourth season with episode 10, leaving fans to wonder about a potential Season 5.
The fourth season of Apple TV+'s popular comedy series "Ted Lasso" has concluded with its tenth episode, leaving viewers to speculate about the show's future.
The season finale, which may be titled either "The Departing Lass" or "Being Alive," reportedly features significant plot developments. These include the passing of Mae Greene, the owner of the Crown & Anchor pub; a scheme by Zelda Southport to acquire the club from Rebecca; and news of a baby for Roy and Keeley. The episode also marks another victory for Ted and the Lady Greyhounds.
Season 4 consists of ten episodes, and episode 10 serves as the season finale. This is a departure from Seasons 2 and 3, which each had twelve episodes.
Apple TV+ has not yet officially renewed "Ted Lasso" for a fifth season. However, the series' popularity and critical success, including multiple Emmy wins, suggest that a renewal remains a possibility. Stars have expressed interest in continuing the show, and Jason Sudeikis, the show's lead, has previously indicated an intention for a three-season arc, which could extend beyond the current structure.
Given the gap between previous seasons and the lack of an official renewal, a potential Season 5 premiere date is not yet set. The three-year interval between Season 3 and Season 4 could indicate a lengthy wait if the show is renewed. If production and writing proceed without significant delays, new episodes might emerge in late 2027 or early 2028.
"Ted Lasso" is an Apple TV+ original series and is available for streaming on the platform with a subscription. Apple TV+ offers a seven-day free trial for new subscribers and a single ad-free plan at $14.99 per month. A bundle including Apple TV+ and Peacock is also available starting at $14.99 per month.
